Privacy Policy

Semian Co., Ltd. ("Semian") has established and disclosed the following privacy policy in order to protect the personal information of information subjects (customers) and to process related complaints promptly and smoothly in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Information

Semian processes personal information for the following purposes and does not use it for any purposes other than those stated below:

• Confirmation of customer registration intentions, verification and authentication of the individual for the provision of services to customers, maintaining and managing membership qualifications, payment for goods or services, supply and delivery of goods or services.

2. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information

1. Semian processes and retains personal information within the personal information retention and usage period agreed upon by the information subject or within the personal information retention and usage period prescribed by law when collecting personal information from information subjects.

2. The specific personal information processing and retention periods are as follows:

   • Customer registration and management: Until the service usage agreement or membership registration is terminated; however, if there are any remaining rights and obligations, until the settlement of such rights and obligations.

   • Records of contract/subscription withdrawal, payment, supply of goods, etc. in e-commerce: 5 years.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Semian does not provide personal information to third parties except in cases where the information subject has separately agreed or where there are special provisions in the law, as stipulated in Article 17 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

4. Rights and Obligations of Information Subjects and Methods of Exercising Rights

Information subjects may exercise the following rights regarding personal information protection against Semian at any time:

1. Request to access personal information.

2. Request correction if there are errors.

3. Request deletion.

4. Request to stop processing.

5. Personal Information Items Being Processed

​

Semian processes the following personal information:

• Name, company, address, phone number, email address, payment information, etc.

​

6. Destruction of Personal Information

​

1. Semian promptly destroys the personal information when it becomes unnecessary, such as when the personal information retention period has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved.

2. Semian destroys personal information using the following methods:

   • Electronic files: Deletion of files, disk formatting.

   • Paper documents: Shredding or incineration.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

​

This privacy policy is effective from October 1, 2023.
